【BETTER DAYS 40th Anniversary】Japanesque romanticism

This is the last album in 1983 by Mariah, a music production group that combines progressive musicianship and outstanding performance techniques.
Mariah's cutting-edge and melodious sound, which combines a variety of sounds with bold experimentation, has earned their high acclaim. The signature song, "心臓の扉（Shinzou-no-tobira）," is a genre-defying rendition of Mariah's world, with its perfect beat, stateless vocals, and ethnic sounds. In recent years, it has regained popularity in the club scene at home and abroad, and in 2015 it was released on analog vinyl by an American label, receiving high acclaim from music magazine websites. Together with "北京の秋（Beijing-no-aki）," which was released at the same time, it takes its title from Boris Vian's work.

1977年から1984年にかけてミュージック・シーンを牽引した前衛的POPレーベル。
1978年YMOで世界的にブレイクした坂本龍一のソロ・アルバム「千のナイフ」や渡辺香津美他日本を代表するアーティスト達を輩出し、クロスオーバーサウンドの先駆けとなり、一躍伝説のレーベルになりました。
今年、40周年を迎え、今、クラブ・ミュージックとして海外から高く評価されはじめています。

About the BETTER DAYS label...
BETTER DAYS is an avant-garde POP label that led the music scene from 1977 to 1984.
The label produced Ryuichi Sakamoto's 1978 solo album "Thousand Knives," which became his international breakthrough with YMO, as well as Kazumi Watanabe and other leading Japanese artists, pioneering the crossover sound and making the label legendary in its own right.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the label is now beginning to be highly regarded overseas as a club music label.
